I don't have a pool. I haven't made it to the ocean. I only have air conditioning in one room and I'm trying not to drink so much beer. Instead, I have watermelon. That is my July in Connecticut where another week brings above 90 degree temperatures and daily sweat is a way of life.
I finish running. I eat watermelon.
I wake up. I eat watermelon.
I want a pre-sleep snack. Yep, watermelon.
It absorbs the cold of the fridge and offers partial satiation from the heat...if only temporarily.
